The Best Banana Bread You’ll Ever Bake

Ingredients
  

  • 1 and 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter room temperature
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 4 to 6 ripe bananas I used 4

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a standard loaf pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together the dry ingredients in a medium bowl: flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. Cream the butter, sugar, and eggs in a large bowl until light and fluffy.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Add the bananas to your wet ingredients and mash with a whisk or fork.
  6. Gently fold in the dry ingredients using a spatula. Mix just until no flour remains do not over-mix.
  7. Pour the batter into the loaf pan and smooth the top. Add optional toppings if you wish!
  8. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Cool in the pan for 10 to 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Slice and enjoy warm or at room temperature. Wrap any leftovers to keep them moist for days.
