Welcome to our blog! We are Emilie and Stephen. Married in August of 2024, we are a Catholic family navigating life together. Our journey began in October 2022, united by our shared faith. We have a passion for the traditional Latin Mass and enjoy cooking! Here, we’ll share our experiences, insights, and the joys of building a life centered around our values. Join us as we explore faith, family, and the little moments that make life special!
a little bit of history
Our shared love of food started on our very first date. From the beginning, our time together revolved around cooking, sharing meals, and our Catholic faith. Both Louisiana natives, food runs deep in our roots.
Emilie grew up in a small town outside of Lafayette, surrounded by the bold flavors of Creole and Cajun cooking, and that spice shows up in everything she makes. Stephen grew up in New Orleans, shaped by the city’s rich French Creole tradition.
A lot of our recipes start with a meal we can’t stop thinking about. When we try a dish we love at a restaurant, we head home and get to work recreating it, tweaking the ingredients and spices until it tastes just right. Sometimes it ends up closer to the original, and sometimes it becomes something entirely our own. Either way, that’s where the fun is.
